CHAO!!!!!!!!!Alrightyyyyy ppl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Hahahahhahaha I'm kinda sleepy but nevermind,I'll still blog about my experiences in Vietnam=D I really miss Viet right now and I'm feeling kinda saddddddd=(((((((((
Alrighttttttttt on Monday,after we reached the airport in Ho Chih Minh City,our tour guide,Loi(I think that's how it's spelled),met us there.He introduced himself and we got onto the van.He is a really nice guy and he told us a lot about Viet.The thing that surprised me most was that there were no or very little cars!!!!!!!! Everyone was using motorcycles.It really looked like there was some race;P
The driver first brought us to our hotel and Loi said he'll pick us up later to bring us to the temple and after that for dinner.We said ok and so we went into the hotel and took a bath and got ready.When Loi came,we got inyo the van and went to the temple.It was kinda smoky but the atmosphere was calming.So we prayed and after that went to a restaurant for dinner.It was actually an Indian restaurant named Tandoor but the food there was nice,just a teeny bit spicy.
So after our dinner,the driver brought us back to our hotel and we rested before going to sleep.On the second day after breakfast and checking out,we were on our way to Da Lat.IT WAS A 10 HOUR RIDE FROM HO CHICH MINH CITY TO DALAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Can you believe it?!?Argh!!!!!!My knees were hurting because my sister had pushed her seat backward=ZZZ Well,at least on the way we saw a tea garden and a coffee garden.We also stopped for lunch and at a place to go to the happy(I think it's spelled like that)room which is actually the rest room.Oh hahahaha and the people who were selling guava over there told Loi something in Viet.Loi then translated and told me that they wanted to ask me if I would like to get married in Vietnam!!!!!!!!!!!!hahhahahahaha that was real funny.
I think it's because I was wearing a really nice top which made me look quite nice so yea,hahahahaha.We went to a waterfall on the way too=)Well after we reached Da Lat city,we checked in to our hotel and took a bath.After that Loi and the driver brought us to a restaurant for dinner.Oh and Da Lat was really cold.The fact is that Da Lat experiences four seasond in one day itself.In the morning it is spring,afternoon is summer,evening is autumn and night is winter but there is no snow.
The restaurant was real beautiful although not very clean but it was presentable. The food was real niceeeeee,I miss it=( There was one waiter who kept looking at me.He was viet(duhhhhhh) and he was pretty good-looking.After the main course, one of the waiter was making burned banana as dessert for us.After he had finished making,the waiter gave the banana to me first.
I then asked my mum why he gave me first and she was like,he was only looking at you from the beginning.I just smiled but hahahaha a bit flattered of course.Oh and there was another waiter who bullied me because I hadn't finished my first bowl of rice and they already brought the second bowl.So,he laughed and told me,finish the first one then take the second one and he was like hesitating to put down the second bowl.Crazy fella;P hhahahahaha
Ok after that we went to the market nearby and my sis and I bought a bracelet and I loveeeeee mine=D Then we went back to our hotel and slept=D hahahaha then the next day we spent another 10 hours travelling back to Ho Chih Minh City.=_= I know it's crappy but it was alright.I slept alot;p So that day actually we went to visit the flower garden which was real awesome and we also visited the Love Valley where I went on a horse ride;)The horse was very disobedient though.Bad horsyyyyyyy=P hahahahaha ok so after that we went back to Ho Chih Minh city and checked in to our hotel.We then left our luggage at our rooms and came down quickly because we were going to have dinner on a cruise=) Loi then brought us there and dad said that after the cruise had finished going around,we would visit the Ben Thanh market on our own and go back to the hotel on our own.Loi said ok but he kept asking if we were sure about the directions,hahahaha^^We managed to find our way back though=)
The next day we visited the Mekong River or the Mekong Delta on a boat.They called the upper course of the river Mother River and the lower course the Father River.The Mother River is bigger.We went on a boat and Loi told us that there were four islands namely the Unicorn,Phoenix,Turtle and Dragon islands.We went to the Unicorn Island first and it was very big.The people sold many stuff there and we also got to try honey tea which happened to be the only tea I liked and some of the food there.But the bees kept coming towards us and although Loi told us that the were very friendly,it was kinda irritating.After that,we went to this place and there was a python in a cage.I ended up being the one putting it around my neck=_=.It was scaly but it's skin was smooth.It was pretty cute actually.Loi called it his baby,hahahahaha^^
Then we went to the Phoenix Island and over there we tasted the coconut candy which I love to the max=) We also ate fruits and listened to local folk music.Then we sat on a small boat,boys on one and girls on the other because each boat could only take in 3 people.Hahahahaha we wanted to win the guys and although there were two ladies at the front and at the back I took the oar and rowed with them.I was amazed at their strength.I had to take breaks because my arm hurt but those two old ladies were going strong!!!!!!!I felt lousy=P We managed to catch up with the guys though,thanks to me hahahahahaha(jkjk).
After that we visited the Notre Dame Church and the post office.After taking photos and stuff Loi let us off at the Ben Thanh market and said he and the driver will pick us up at 7 for dinner.We had a lot of time so we looked around and then went back to the hotel to bathe and rest.We had dinner in Tandoor again and the food was nice too.Then we told Loi we wanted to visit the market again and so he said alright and he went back.After dinner we went shopping and yup I got a really nice top and I just tried it own.It's figure huging so I guess I've to keep my shape,lol!!!!!!!!!After that we went back to the hotel and slept but not before having a coke partyyyyyyy hahahahaha^^
So today was a really sad day because I was leaving Vietnam.Loi didn't go with us to the airport because he had to pick up his parents as they wanted to see his wife who was 4 moths pregnant.Cute huh?Sad though and he's a really nice guy actually.Dad gave him the tips and he was like,no no give your children and dad was like no you take,for your wife and he took it in the end and we bade goodbye to him.When we reached the airport,Loi had called the driver and had asked to speak to Dad and after everything we said goodbye to the driver as well and we went in.Happy beginning,sad ending but it was a real nice trip.
Loi,you're a really amazing guide and I hope you and your wife will have many happy days ahead.May god bless you and to the driver,thanks for bringing us around and god bless you too.hahahaha and I love you Vietnam,I think I've learnt as much as my friends did when they went to Vietnam on the geog and Hist trip so yea,the sad thing is I don't know how to say bye in vietnamese=( nvm,Adios^^
